Wild Bunya Cone Mugolio Syrup

A$40.00
sold out

Bunya Cone Mugolio! A super dark, super thick, highly aromatic maple-like, ultra-low-yield syrup made from the moisture, oils and resins released from the segments and cores of the Bunya Cone (Araucaria bidwillii) on its once every 3 years heavy drop season.

Think of a maple syrup with a heavy aroma of pine cones and a walk through the forest - this is as prized as it gets in the foodie world - and Mugolio is an extremely rare item to come across, typically imported from Europe.

It's a long, slow process to create - and the name Mugolio comes from the syrup made in Europe from the young cones of the Mugo Pine (Pinus mugo), hand picked and carefully selected for their aroma - but like everything we do, we have been inspired by a beautiful global culinary technique, and applied it to our local edible wonders.

The result - simply marvelous!

INGREDIENTS:

ORGANIC BROWN SUGAR, BUNYA CONE (ARAUCARIA BIDWILLII).

SIZE: 200ML

Naturally fermented over 2 months.

Refrigerate once opened.

Gluten, Dairy & Preservative Free.
